SnapRecall is a local-first Chrome extension that turns selected web text into editable flashcards and schedules reviews on your device.
Decks, cards, source references, review logs, streaks, preferences, and cached entitlement status stay in IndexedDB and Chrome extension storage. SnapRecall does not upload, sell, or analyze study content.
SnapRecall shows a packaged capture control when you select text on ordinary web pages. It reads only the text you explicitly select or capture. It does not collect passwords, form entries, cookies, or a browsing-history profile.
When you activate or re-check Lifetime, SnapRecall sends the license key and fixed product ID to Gumroad’s HTTPS verification API. The key is stored separately from study backups, and exported backups never include billing credentials. Checkout and payment details remain on Gumroad.
SnapRecall has no analytics, advertising, cloud account, remote scripts, CDN code, or embedded checkout. All executable code is packaged in the extension.
