Sticky Notes² is a local-first Chrome extension for pinning private annotations to webpages.
Note text, tasks, titles, source URLs, positions, colors, settings, and the cached license entitlement are stored in Chrome extension storage on your device. Note content is not sent to el-two LLC, Gumroad, advertisers, or analytics providers.
The extension runs on normal webpages so it can display the notes you created. It reads the current page title and URL, plus text you deliberately select for a note. It does not collect or transmit page contents, passwords, form entries, cookies, or browsing history. Gumroad pages are excluded.
When you activate or re-check a license, Sticky Notes² sends the entered license key and fixed product ID to Gumroad’s HTTPS license verification API. Gumroad handles checkout and payment details externally. Paid access may continue offline for up to 30 days after a successful verification.
Word-compatible exports are generated locally and downloaded only when you request one. The extension has no analytics, advertising, cloud database, or remotely hosted executable code.
You can delete individual notes, export your notes, deactivate the license locally while retaining notes, or uninstall the extension to remove its local data.
