Kept ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Kept mobile application.
Information We Collect
Kept is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data to provide the app experience:
- Pact Data: Your habit pacts, check-in records, and streak information are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud.
- Proof Photos: Photos you upload as proof of check-ins are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to external servers.
- Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Kept Pro, payment is processed securely through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not have access to your payment details.
- Notifications: If you enable reminders, notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the app functionality
- To sync your data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled)
- To send you reminder notifications (only if you opt in)
- To manage your subscription status
Data Storage
Your pact data, check-in history, proof photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, pact data may be synced across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. We do not operate external servers that store your personal data.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store: For in-app purchases and subscription processing.
- Apple iCloud: For optional data sync across your devices.
Children's Privacy
Kept is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app and on this page.
