Overview

Anchor ("the App") is an app-blocking and digital wellness tool. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Anchor collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data Collection

Screen Time & Family Controls

Anchor uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) to block apps and filter web content. This data is:

In-App Purchases

Anchor uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect:

For more information, see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Anchor sends local notifications (e.g., session reminders) that are processed entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

Face ID / Biometrics

If you enable App Lock, Anchor uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework (Face ID / Touch ID). Biometric data is never accessed by Anchor — authentication is handled entirely by iOS.

Motion Data

The Walk It Off unlock challenge uses Apple's CoreMotion framework to count steps. Step data is processed locally and is never stored or transmitted.

Accountability Partners

Accountability partner names and share codes are stored locally on your device. When you share a report, it is generated locally and shared via the iOS share sheet. Anchor does not operate any server for partner data exchange.

Data Retention

Children's Privacy

Anchor does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app uses Apple's Family Controls API which requires parental consent for children's devices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated date.
