Overview

CalibQR ("the App") is a calibration and tool-control tracker for iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data CalibQR collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data Collection

• CalibQR does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
• All asset data, calibration events, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• CalibQR does NOT track your location, contacts, browsing history, or any advertising identifiers.
• CalibQR does NOT use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• CalibQR does NOT require account creation or login.

Local Data Storage

CalibQR stores the following data locally on your device:

• Assets: Tool and instrument information you register — names, serial numbers, manufacturers, calibration intervals, and notes.
• Calibration Events: Calibration dates, technician names, certificate numbers, results, notes, and optional photo attachments.
• Locations: Department or location names you create to organize assets.
• Settings & Preferences: Notification preferences, subscription status, and app configuration.

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync or export a PDF.

Camera Access

CalibQR requests camera access solely for scanning QR codes on your calibration assets. Camera data is processed on-device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings.

Photo Attachments

When you attach a photo to a calibration event (e.g., a photo of a calibration certificate), the image is stored locally within the app's SwiftData database on your device. Photos are never uploaded to any server.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, CalibQR may sync your data across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not operate any servers that store your data.

In-App Purchases

CalibQR Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not use any third-party payment or subscription management services. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple processes all transactions subject to their privacy policy.

PDF Exports

When you generate an audit binder or asset report PDF, the document is created entirely on your device. You control how the PDF is shared — via AirDrop, email, Files, or any share destination you choose. We never receive or store exported documents.

Notifications

CalibQR can send local notifications to remind you of upcoming calibration due dates. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device using Apple's UserNotifications framework. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Data Retention

• All data is stored locally on your device only.
• You can delete individual assets or calibration events within the app at any time.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
• If using iCloud sync, you can manage your iCloud data through iOS Settings.

Children's Privacy

CalibQR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The App is designed for professional use by calibration technicians, machinists, lab personnel, and quality managers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
